Home decor : design of a collection of beaded decorative objects, Bamiléké beading technique X Musée du Quai Branly

Design and production coordination of a series of decorative objects handcrafted by craftpeople of Fondation Jean-Félicien Gacha’s beading workshop.

The collection is composed of bead-embroided baskets, bracelets and animal figured wall ornaments ; A colorful take of the iconic elements of the Bamiléké people symbols & shape.

It is presented and sold as part of Musée du Quai Branly’s exhibition « On the road to chiefdoms of Cameroon » dedicated to the art of the communities settled in West-Cameroon.

Kudos to Félicité, Joséphine, Marie-Claire, Stella, Robert, Honorine and Mrs Igénie Nomba - workshop manager - for their magical handwork ✨
